Tests for all needs

CTBA laboratories carry out several types of tests within three main groups of offers. A growing number of tests benefit from COFRAC accreditation .

Private tests on company request
CTBA evaluates conformity and performances of a product or process compared to a standard or specifications for a given use. The Centre can also be requested to test the quality of a prototype, to know its operational limits, to carry out measurements on site. The results of the test may include specific recommendations in order to improve the design of the product.

Tests for certification
These tests allow to check that the product performances comply with the regulations of the quality mark.

Research tests
These tests are part of development and research programs. They can be held over several years like, for example, the many tests carried out within the framework of the French wood classification studies. Recognised at European level and equipped with a whole range of testing machines unique in France , CTBA laboratories carry out physical and mechanical tests, biological and technical analyses. They work on sawn timber, reconstituted products, and components as well as on finished products (furniture products, joineries, frames, etc.). They also test other materials and products associated with wood: wood coating and preservation products, adhesives, textiles, leather, furniture hardware, resins, plastics.
